Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), ensuring safe and effective recovery.
• Conduct initial patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and manage patient pain and nausea as needed.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately in accordance with hospital standards.
• Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and recovery procedures.
• Assist with special projects and participate in staff training and orientation efforts.

Required Qualifications

• Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification from AHA.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Certification from AHA.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certification from AHA.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in PACU or a similar setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a surgical or recovery unit.
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
