Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Nights, 8-week assignment, 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an intermediate care/stepdown unit with a 20-bed capacity
- Monitor critically ill patients using telemetry, transport monitors, and suction equipment
- Administer and manage IV drips including heparin, Tikosyn, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitro, Lasix, and ketamine
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure safety
- Document all patient interactions accurately using Meditech EMR
- Respond rapidly to patient emergencies and elevate care as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Experience with drips: heparin, Tikosyn, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitro, Lasix, ketamine
- Cardiac experience and prior PCU or stepdown unit experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in an IMC, PCU, or stepdown setting for at least 8 weeks
- Familiarity with advanced telemetry equipment and cardiac monitoring
