Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and advanced computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures to support accurate diagnosis.
- Provide assistance to other imaging technologists and collaborate with radiologists and physicians to ensure efficient patient throughput.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues, participate in quality assurance activities, and maintain image processing and archiving systems.
- Follow safety protocols, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and uphold professional image and excellent patient care.
- Adapt imaging techniques to meet the individual needs of diverse patients, respecting psychosocial, cultural, and age-related factors.
- Document procedures accurately, ensuring correct scanning, storage, and handling of imaging data within PACS systems.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent.
- Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) by ARRT or NMTCB.
- State licensure for New Mexico (CT or FUS).
- BLS certification (AHA only).
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with PACS systems.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in hospital or outpatient imaging departments.
- Ability to adapt to different shifts and multiple campuses as needed.
