- Full-time, 8.5-hour days, multiple shifts available, travel position
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent nursing care in the Operating Room setting, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
- Assess the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, providing education and support.
- Delegate and coordinate duties with care team members to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities aligned with organizational competencies and standards of nursing practice.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Valid RN license in Texas or a compact state.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- At least 1 year of experience in surgical nursing or Operating Room settings.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience in surgical or perioperative care.
- Strong assessment and patient education skills.
- Ability to adapt to varying clinical scenarios and work independently.
