- Full-time, Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized pediatric intensive care to patients aged 0-18 in a Level I Trauma Center setting
- Monitor and support critically ill children with diagnoses such as respiratory compromise, trauma, post-operative needs, neurology/neurosurgery, and complex therapies like ECMO and CRRT
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory therapists, dietitians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
- Perform patient assessments, administer treatments, and manage ventilatory and cardiac support
- Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (EPIC)
- Work within a dynamic unit with varying patient-to-nurse ratios (1:1, 1:2, 1:3) and float within scope as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years PICU experience
- South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license
- Current BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association only)
- Availability to work night shifts including weekends and holidays as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ECMO and CRRT therapies
- Past experience with pediatric palliative care and complex support therapies
