Registered Nurse - CVOR
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days, 10-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care during CVOR procedures, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs.
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring documentation according to policy.
• Supervise and support licensed practical nurses and non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Complete patient education and competency assessments, including age-specific and procedure-specific training.
• Adhere to protocols and standards of care to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered service.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or equivalent).
• Minimum of two (2) years current experience in Cardiothoracic surgery.
• Completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Ability to scrub in surgical procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• EPIC EMR experience (training available on-site).
• ACLS and PALS certifications (preferred).
• Experience with pediatric patients and congenital cases (minimum congenital pediatrics may be required).
