Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized pediatric critical care to patients in a 28-bed Pediatric ICU, supporting children from birth to 18 years.
• Manage patients with complex diagnoses such as respiratory failure, trauma, postoperative surgical needs, neurology, and neurosurgery.
• Administer ventilatory, cardiac support, ECMO, CRRT, dialysis, and other advanced supportive therapies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists, pediatric dietitians, and pharmacists to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Follow unit protocols and maintain compliance with hospital standards to ensure quality and safety.
• Support family-centered care and communicate effectively with patients’ families regarding care plans and progress.

Required Qualifications

• Valid South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years PICU experience.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association preferred).
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a rotating schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Experience with ECMO and CRRT strongly preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or teaching hospital environment.
• Prior experience in pediatric palliative care or complex critical care units.
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs.
