Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 3x12-hour shifts per week, primarily days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) with rotating nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in a 28-bed PICU, supporting children from 0-18 years of age
• Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions including respiratory, neurological, post-operative, trauma, and congenital issues
• Administer and oversee advanced therapies such as ECMO, CRRT, dialysis, and ventilatory support
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory therapists, pediatric pharmacists, dietitians, and support staff
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and maintain high standards of patient safety and care
• Document patient care accurately using electronic health records (EPIC)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of PICU nursing experience
• Valid RN license in South Carolina or multi-state/compact license
• BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• Ability to float within scope across ICU and Stepdown units as needed
• Willing to accept first-time travelers

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ECMO and CRRT therapies
• Prior pediatric critical care experience in a teaching or trauma center setting

• Facility: Magnet hospital with 820 beds, dedicated Pediatric ICU for children ages 0-18

• Hurricane season from June to November may impact assignments; travelers should plan accordingly
