Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate mental health care to patients in a behavioral health unit
- Monitor and assess patients' mental and emotional status
- Implement treatment plans and document patient care in electronic medical records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and well-being
- Respond appropriately to patient emergencies and de-escalate stressful situations
- Support patients' recovery and promote a therapeutic environment
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR certification
- CPI Blue Card certification
- At least 12 months of recent experience in acute care psychiatric or behavioral health settings
- Adult-specific competencies in mental health nursing
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Additional training or certifications in behavioral health
- Experience working with diverse patient populations in a hospital or clinical setting
