Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Mother Baby/Postpartum

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts (3 nights per week, 12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for postpartum and antepartum patients, including level II nursery care when float is required.
• Perform postpartum and mother-baby assessments, monitor patient progress, and document care using Epic EMR system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care during night shifts.
• Float within scope of practice, including NICU, to support various units as needed.
• Adhere to compliance standards, including BLS and NRP certifications, and confirm license validity prior to start.
• Manage approved RTO requests (up to 40 hours per 13-week contract) and communicate any vacation plans at time of submission.

Required Qualifications

• Current State RN license (pending licenses considered with in-hand license by Wednesday before start date).
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Epic EMR experience.
• Ability to work night shifts on a 12-hour schedule and float within skill set.
• Valid driver’s license or appropriate credentials if required for unit-specific travel.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred.
• Previous postpartum and mother-baby nursing experience.
• Experience working within the VA healthcare system or similar hospital environment.
