Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Days shifts, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in surgical procedures within the CVOR and other surgical units, ensuring efficient case flow
• Prepare operating rooms by arranging equipment and supplies, adhering to sterile protocols
• Support surgical team members, including scrub and circulating roles when applicable, following hospital policies
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and ongoing training to stay current with protocols and procedures
• Respond to call-ins promptly, within 30 minutes, including potential overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts
• Maintain compliance with OR standards, documentation, and electronic medical records (EPIC)

Required Qualifications
• Active Illinois license or confirmation that licensure is underway
• Experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), neuro, and orthopedic surgery
• Must have Level 1 trauma experience
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience with CVOR cases, including CABG, carotids, valve replacements, and endovascular procedures
• Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
