• Full-time, 12-hour shifts, Days shift, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients in a 29-bed unit with a mix of private and semi-private rooms.
• Monitor and titrate Heparin drips, ensuring patient safety and compliance with protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including charge RNs, PCTs, and other staff, to deliver quality care.
• Utilize telemetry monitoring equipment and read cardiac strips as necessary.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Support patients during procedures, including post-surgery recovery and ongoing treatment for diagnoses such as sepsis, CHF, COVID-19, DVT, pulmonary embolisms, and more.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Illinois RN license or active application process.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to produce a negative drug screen.
• Basic proficiency in reading telemetry monitor strips and titrating Heparin drips.
• Active IL licensure with the last four digits of SSN and middle initial provided upon submission.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in medical-surgical units handling diverse diagnoses.
• Comfortable with ventilator support up to 6L NC and BiPAP/CPAP use.
• Prior experience with inpatient blood draws utilizing hospital phlebotomy teams.
