Registered Nurse PICU

Job Title

• Registered Nurse - PICU

• Marshfield, WI

• Part-time, night shifts (3 shifts per week)

• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
• Manage ventilators, administer drips and sedations, and monitor intracranial pressures (ICP), EVDs, and emergency situations.
• Perform patient assessments, interpret telemetry, and respond to urgent clinical needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including pediatricians and intensivists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize advanced pediatric equipment such as vents, CPAP, BiPAP, Vapotherm, and heliox therapy.
• Participate in self-scheduling with a tiered approach, covering every other weekend and holiday rotations.

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least 1 year of PICU experience.
• Current certifications: PALS and BLS (TNCC preferred but not required).
• Experience with intubated patients, drips, sedations, ICP management, and emergency interventions.
• Ability to titrate titratable medications such as cardiac drugs, insulin, and heparin.
• Must have own labs drawn and be comfortable reading telemetry strips.

• Experience with travel nursing and working with first-time travelers.
• Ability to float to NICU or adult units if necessary, with pediatric experience.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
