Full-time, contract (13-week assignment with potential for extension), onsite, night shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care primarily during night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM), with possible daytime shifts (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM)
- Cover rotating weekends (two on, one off) and every other holiday
- Collaborate with a team of nurses to ensure quality resident care in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting
- Utilize PCC electronic medical records to document patient care and assessments
- Manage a patient load including LTC residents with memory care, dementia, and orthopedic needs, with no current behavioral risks
- Participate in building orientation and patient lifts training prior to start
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Dakota or the ability to obtain one
- Experience working in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and handle a patient ratio of 2 nurses during day/evening shifts and 1 nurse during night shifts
- Competency with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically PCC preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in LTC or SNF environments with residents requiring memory care or orthopedic care
- Ability to work in a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
