Key Responsibilities

• Provide perfusion services for patients undergoing cardiac surgeries at a Level I trauma acute care hospital.
• Operate and monitor heart-lung machines and related equipment during surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and effective perfusion support.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and certification requirements, including state licensure and BLS.
• Participate in weekend call rotation and holiday coverage as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of perfusionist experience; recent experience preferred.
• Current state licensure as a perfusionist in Illinois.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with minimal RTO restrictions.
• Must have at least 18 months of applicable experience unless otherwise specified.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in an acute care hospital setting, preferably a Level I trauma center.
• Experience with Cerner charting system.
• Ability to float within hospital and to affiliate facilities as required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
