Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Nights, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed medical surgical unit with additional capacity for COVID and non-COVID patients
• Manage complex cases including oxygen therapy, intravenous medications, moderate sedation monitoring, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and mechanical ventilation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient outcomes and quality care
• Document patient care using electronic health record systems and adhere to hospital protocols
• Support unit orientation and training for new travel nurses and staff as needed
• Maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in a SD or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, Heated High Flow, oxygen titration, telemetry, and medical-surgical patient care
• Ability to float to related units/departments as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Specialty certification such as Progressive Care Nursing or Medical-Surgical Nursing
• Prior experience in a critical care or pulmonary unit
• Familiarity with Epic documentation system, Alaris pumps, and Acudose medication system
