Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiopulmonary services to patients of all ages in a hospital setting.
• Administer respiratory treatments and manage ventilators, airway devices, and oxygen therapy.
• Perform airway management procedures, including intubation assist, suctioning, and chest physiotherapy.
• Conduct ABG procurement and analysis, PFT testing, and monitor patient response to therapy.
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapies administered and equipment use.
• follow safety protocols and ensure patient dignity and rights are upheld during all procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program with an AS degree.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in hospital respiratory therapy.
• Valid credentials from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), such as CRT, CRTT, RT, or RRT.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications encouraged.
• Ability to read and interpret physician orders, policies, and technical manuals.
• Effective communication skills, including explaining procedures to patients and collaborating with medical staff.
• Ability to document therapies accurately and efficiently.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ventilator management, ABG analysis, and pulmonary function testing.
• Knowledge of respiratory medication delivery methods and contraindications.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as pulse oximeters, EKG machines, and arterial blood gas analyzers.
• Multilingual abilities or experience working with diverse patient populations are a plus.
