Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to ICU patients, including ventilator management, IV starts, ICP monitoring, and conscious sedation.
- Perform PA line placements and manage Swan-Ganz catheter assessments.
- Document patient care accurately using electronic charting systems (Epic preferred).
- Assess, monitor, and respond to patient needs in a high-acuity environment, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality ICU care.
- Adhere to all safety, clinical, and compliance protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California Registered Nurse license (no temporary licenses accepted).
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, with PA line and Swan-Ganz experience assessed during interview.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.
- Experience with ventilators, IV starts, ICP monitoring, tele, and conscious sedation required.
- Ability to pass initial EKG exam during orientation.
- Must be flexible to float within hospital units as needed.
- Up-to-date profile documents, including two supervisor references, recent Nursys report, and COVID vaccination verification, required at submission.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CCRN certification.
- Experience in Level I Trauma ICU or charge nurse roles.
- Epic charting experience highly preferred.
