Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including high-risk antepartum and postpartum assessments.
- Assist with sterile speculum exams, IV therapy, and management of central lines such as PICC and CVC.
- Administer medications including anticoagulants, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate, and monitor patient responses.
- Circulate for C-sections, supporting labor and delivery procedures as needed.
- Support patients experiencing complications such as preeclampsia, previa, diabetes, hypertension, preterm labor, multiple pregnancies, and substance use disorders.
- Manage fetal demise cases and care for postpartum mothers and babies in NICU.
Required Qualifications
- Valid WA state registered nurse license or active compact license.
- AWHONN Advanced certification.
- Current BLS, NRP certifications (required).
- ACLS certification (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, with experience in labor/delivery and postpartum care.
- Experience with high-risk antepartum and postpartum patient management, including sterile speculum exams and IV therapy.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-acuity antepartum/postpartum unit.
- Prior experience with fetal and maternal complications, NICU care, or high-risk pregnancies.
- Ability to float to Postpartum units and support high-risk case management.

- Float differential available; scrubs are provided when floated to L&D units.
