• Full-time, 3x12-hour night shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients, including those with arrhythmias, pacemakers, or defibrillators.
• Monitor patients using telemetry systems, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, Lasix, and Heparin.
• Administer medications and treatments with attention to cardiac protocols and patient safety.
• Follow hospital policies on patient care, documentation, and unit protocols, including EPIC charting and Pyxis medication management.
• Support float requirements across telemetry units and potentially other related units within the facility.
• Participate in a 36-hour orientation to ensure familiarity with unit systems and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry or cardiac stepdown nursing experience.
• Valid State RN license (NC or Compact license) in hand at start.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date.
• Comfortable with cardiac drips and interpreting dysrhythmias.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with a heart failure navigator or similar multidisciplinary teams.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with systems such as Epic and Pyxis.
• Ability to float within related units when needed.
