- Travel, 13-week assignment, Day shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to oncology and blood cancer patients in a hospital unit.
- Administer medications, blood products, and electrolytes per unit policies, ensuring patient safety.
- Perform procedures such as lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsies, and thoracentesis.
- Monitor patient conditions closely, including hematology-specific and acute care needs.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of nurses and staff to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Follow safety protocols related to hazardous drug handling and infection control.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant hospital nursing experience.
- Compassionate, adaptable, and quick to learn.
- Experience with oncology or hematology patients preferred.
- Ability to handle hazardous drugs safely.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Chemotherapy and biotherapy certification.
- Step-down ICU or high-acuity hematology experience.
- Experience with standing orders for fluids and fever management.
