Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in a BMT ICU setting.
• Administer chemotherapy and other IV medications following strict protocols.
• Monitor patients for neutropenic fever and implement blood culture draws and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity unit with a focus on cancer treatment and research.
• Utilize EMR (Meditech) for patient documentation and care planning.
• Follow unit policies, including safety and treatment protocols, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license with applicable state licensure.
• At least 2 years of RN experience, preferably in ICU or oncology units.
• Must have oncology experience, including chemotherapy administration.
• ACLS certification.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Chemotherapy certification.
• Certification in BMT Care or Oncology Nursing (BMTCN and/or OCN).
• Experience with neutropenic patient protocols.
• Strong teamwork and positive attitude.
