- Full-time, Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity labor and delivery nursing care in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Function as a Baby Nurse during deliveries, including neonatal assessments, eye and thigh exams, and administering medications such as Vitamin K injections.
- Monitor electronic fetal heart rates and support obstetric patients throughout labor.
- Support postpartum and antepartum care, with float responsibilities to related units as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams following AWHONN guidelines to ensure patient safety and quality care.
- Maintain compliance with facility protocols, including documentation and patient assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Active BLS certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Valid Washington or Compact Nursing license
- 3-5 years of experience in high-risk, high-acuity labor and delivery environments
- Proven experience with electronic fetal monitoring and postpartum/neonatal care
- Current supervisory references and proof of required certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS and AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate certifications
- Experience with postpartum and antepartum patient care, including support for substance recovery and community clinics
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting with minimal supervision
