Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit at a major hospital campus.
• Rotate between day and night shifts, working 3x12-hour engagements per week.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, safety standards, and documentation requirements.
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient conditions.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication practices during orientation.
• Participate in holiday rotations as required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent experience in critical care, stepdown, or IMC nursing prior to travel.
• Ohio licensure or Compact state license in hand at time of submission.
• Active American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Prior experience working with Cardiac Stepdown units; travel experience acceptable.
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation (2 attempts maximum).
• Successful completion of hospital-required background checks and drug screens, including nicotine testing (for non-nurses/CSTs).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in PCU/Progressive Care units is a plus.
• Previous travel nursing assignments in cardiac or stepdown units.
• Knowledge of hospital electronic medical record systems and documentation standards.
