- Contract, 12-hour shifts, no set shift schedule, up to 32 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care for patients in a high-acuity PACU environment within a large teaching hospital.
- Monitor and manage critical care patients, including art lines, multiple titrating drips, and cardiac monitoring.
- Adapt to variable shift times, including floating, weekends, and call, based on staffing needs.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and maintain up-to-date clinical documentation in Epic EMR.
Required Qualifications
- Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in PACU.
- Critical care PACU skills, including working with high-acuity patients.
- Experience with critical care procedures, such as art lines, titrating drips, and cardiac monitoring.
- Recent Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a large, teaching hospital setting.
