Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type
Full-time, 3 days per week, day shifts (8:45 AM – 9:15 PM) with weekend on-call duties
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate in all surgical areas, supporting various cases from craniotomies to laparoscopic procedures (excluding CV surgery)
- Assist during surgeries, ensuring sterile environment and adherence to protocols
- Manage intraoperative equipment and supplies efficiently
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and procedural success
- Demonstrate proficiency with Epic charting and pass competency exams as required
- Maintain compliance with shift and travel policies, including weekend and holiday on-call duties
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ operating room nursing experience
- Valid state license (TN or Compact license) at the time of submission
- Current AHA BLS and NIH certifications
- Epic electronic medical record experience within the last 12 months
- Ability to circulate in all surgical cases, including endovascular procedures
- Passed competency exam for Epic charting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in diverse surgical environments, including neuro, laparoscopic, and endovascular cases
- Familiarity with the use of Epic EMR system, with recent charting experience
- Ability to pass a fit test by maintaining proper facial hair hygiene
