Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries in the CVOR setting
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with hospital protocols during cardiac and vascular procedures
- Assist with pre-operative preparation, intra-operative monitoring, and post-operative care
- Collaborate with surgical teams, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient responses
- Adhere to all safety standards and infection control protocols
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent CVOR experience prior to travel
- Active Ohio nursing license (compact licenses accepted for starts 1/1/23 and forward)
- Recent CVOR experience in a hospital setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Scrum Heart Experience Certification (SCRUB HEART EXP REQ)
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
- One recent managerial, ANM, supervisor, or director reference in the specialty applying for
- Ability to work at least every other holiday
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with open heart and vascular procedures
- Familiarity with cardiothoracic anesthesia protocols
- Previous travel or large hospital experience
