Key Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient speech therapy services to pediatric and adult patients with various neurodevelopmental and communication challenges.
- Conduct patient assessments using standardized evaluation tools such as CELF, PLS-4, and Rossetti.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing diagnoses like autism, developmental delays, language disorders, and dysphagia.
- Document patient progress and services accurately within the EPIC system, in compliance with clinical guidelines.
- Support families through education about speech, language, and feeding strategies.
- Ensure patient safety by recognizing and responding to signs of abuse or neglect.
Required Qualifications
- Valid State License or Compact License as an SLP.
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience with pediatric outpatient therapy, including autism interventions.
- Proficiency with EPIC or similar documentation systems.
- Knowledge of appropriate evaluation and treatment tools for speech and language disorders.
- Ability to evaluate and manage dysphagia using bedside and instrumental assessments.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in children’s hospitals, home health care, or pediatric rehabilitation facilities.
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication devices.
- Experience with advanced dysphagia management techniques like modified barium swallow studies.
- Knowledge of adult neurodevelopmental disorders and fluency management.
