Travel, Days shift, 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a busy orthopedic and spine specialty unit.
• Monitor patient condition, administer medications, and assist with treatments such as wound care and dressing changes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize electronic health record systems and mobile communication tools to ensure efficient and private communication within the care team.
• Support patient mobility and safety using equipment like traction, halos, and gait belts.
• Adhere to unit policies, including dress code and shift rotations, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

• Current Kansas registered nurse license.
• 2+ years of acute care hospital experience, preferably in Med/Surg or Tele units.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with electronic health records (Meditech preferred).
• Ability to work twelve-hour day shifts.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• NIH certification.
• Hands-on experience with orthopedic injury, neurological conditions, stroke, and trauma care.
• Familiarity with mobile communication tools like iMobile.
