Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic, portable, bedside, and computed tomography (CT) exams, following department protocols.
- Use sound judgment and technical skills to acquire high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure for patients and staff.
- Communicate with patients to gather pertinent history and explain procedures, ensuring patient cooperation and comfort.
- Assess patient conditions, position patients accurately, and select appropriate technical factors to optimize imaging results.
- Review images for quality and repeat scans as necessary, ensuring proper positioning and adherence to safety standards.
- Operate radiology and CT equipment safely, including portable and intraoperative C-Arm units, and perform equipment maintenance as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and document procedures accurately.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, relay critical information, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
- Minimum of three years of imaging experience, including CT.
- Valid current Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Washington State Department of Health.
- ARRT certification (Registered Technologist - Radiology).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience performing CT exams in a hospital setting.
- Familiarity with portable and intraoperative imaging procedures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
