Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic, portable, bedside, and computed tomography (CT) exams, following department protocols.
• Use sound judgment and technical skills to acquire high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure for patients and staff.
• Communicate with patients to gather pertinent history and explain procedures, ensuring patient cooperation and comfort.
• Assess patient conditions, position patients accurately, and select appropriate technical factors to optimize imaging results.
• Review images for quality and repeat scans as necessary, ensuring proper positioning and adherence to safety standards.
• Operate radiology and CT equipment safely, including portable and intraoperative C-Arm units, and perform equipment maintenance as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and document procedures accurately.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, relay critical information, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Successful completion of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Minimum of three years of imaging experience, including CT.
• Valid current Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Washington State Department of Health.
• ARRT certification (Registered Technologist - Radiology).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience performing CT exams in a hospital setting.
• Familiarity with portable and intraoperative imaging procedures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
