Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for oncology patients in a medical-surgical setting.
• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy via IV, PO, or injection as required.
• Monitor and manage patients with oncology-related diagnoses such as cancer, sepsis, ARF, and related complications.
• Perform procedures including port access, blood product administration, wound care, and management of surgical drains and chest tubes.
• Ensure patient safety by adhering to isolation precautions and airway management protocols.
• Document patient care accurately in hospital systems such as EPIC and PYXIS.

Required Qualifications

• Valid North Carolina (NC) or compact state RN license, in hand at start date.
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient nursing experience.
• Experience in an oncology or medical-surgical setting preferred.
• Must have current Oncology (OCN) certification.
• Ability to administer chemotherapy and biotherapy as needed.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI certification.
• Charge nurse experience.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records.
