Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced cardiac critical care to ICU patients, including post-open heart surgery recovery, intubations, CRRT, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Respond to rapid response and code blue emergencies promptly.
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech system.
• Assist with procedures such as Impella heart pump management and other critical interventions.
• Float to other units such as PCU and Medical-Surgical as required, providing consistent, high-quality patient care.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including dress code and safety protocols, ensuring courteous and respectful treatment of patients.

Required Qualifications

• Valid ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU or cardiac critical care experience.
• Ability to care for post-open heart surgery patients (minimum 1-2 days postop).
• Experience with Impella devices and CRRT preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of standard critical care equipment including advanced monitoring platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and respond efficiently to rapid needs.
