Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type:
Travel, 13-week assignment, 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week, onsite

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients in a medical-surgical environment.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments, monitor patient vitals, and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer IV medications, including Lasix, heparin, metoprolol, diltiazem, and insulin via IV or subQ.
• Manage wounds, drains, and perform wound care including VACs.
• Care for central lines such as PICCs, HD catheters, and midlines, as well as Foley, nephrostomy, and suprapubic catheters.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to promote patient safety and care excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing with skills in assessments, IV medication administration, wound care, and central line management.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Knowledge of orthopedic care.
• Experience with IV drips such as Lasix, heparin, and insulin.
• Familiarity with postoperative patient care and monitoring.
• Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to floating policies.
