Registered Nurse - IR/Special Procedures
Location: Rockford, IL
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Day Shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology and specialized procedures.
• Perform assessments, develop, and implement patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved policies and standards of care.
• Accurately document all patient care activities and clinical interventions in accordance with organizational guidelines.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post-care instructions, and health management to support informed decision-making.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
• Utilize critical thinking and clinical expertise to manage complex situations and delegate appropriately.
• Respond to on-call needs during weeknights, weekends, and holidays as part of an on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in critical care.
• Current Illinois RN licensure.
• Valid CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Successful completion of EKG testing prior to orientation completion.
• Certification in the National Institute Healthcare Stroke Scale (NIHSS).

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior experience in interventional neurology or radiology procedures.
• Experience with cardiovascular intervention nursing.
