Registered Nurse - PACU

Full-time, 3 shifts per week, Day shift
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery and anesthesia.
- Monitor vital signs, manage pain, and assess patient recovery status.
- Recognize and respond to critical changes in patient condition, including dysrhythmias and invasive monitoring needs.
- Administer blood products, vasopressors, and medications, including IVs and vasoactive drugs.
- Collaborate with surgical teams covering a variety of specialties such as neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedics, trauma, and more.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort in a Level I trauma center environment, with a focus on adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Missouri or a compact license.
- At least 2-3 years of ICU or ED experience at a Level 1 or 2 trauma facility.
- Critical care experience, including invasive monitoring, ICP management, transfusions, and ventilated patient care.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- EPIC or similar electronic charting system experience.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center and Phase I PACU.
- Knowledge of dysrhythmia recognition and management, blood product administration, and IV start/vasopressor administration.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, acute post-op environment recovering a diverse surgical patient population.
