• Registered Nurse - PICU
Location
• Baltimore, MD
Schedule / Job Type
• Days, Full-time, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Administer treatments, medications, and manage patient medications including drips, arterial lines, and central lines.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs, condition changes, and response to treatments.
• Float to NICU and Pediatrics units as needed within scope of practice.
• Perform special procedures including moderate sedation and patient pain management.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, including travel and licensing requirements.
Required Qualifications
• Valid Maryland or Compact RN license.
• At least 2 years of relevant PICU experience.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS.
• Ability to float within scope to NICU and Pediatric units.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with respiratory distress, failure, DKA, or seizures.
• Familiarity with moderate sedation and central line management.
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred but not required.
