Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, scheduled every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a lower acuity ICU, including step-down units with cardiac, stroke, and telemetry patients
• Manage complex spine post-surgical patients, orthopedic, and procedural cases in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with a team of 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios to deliver safe and effective care
• Potentially float to other floors as needed, adhering to facility policies
• Complete required documentation and certification updates prior to start date
• Participate in orientation, including passing an EKG test on the first day

Required Qualifications

• Valid Illinois nursing license (IL Lic)
• CPR and ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Submission of a passed EKG test with application
• Minimum of 2+ years ICU experience in a similar setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with cardiac, stroke, and telemetry patients
• Knowledge of orthopedic and spine post-surgical care
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, procedural environment
