Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for patients in Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures departments
- Assess patients to determine physical, mental, and spiritual needs, and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Administer moderate sedation and monitor patient responses, demonstrating proficiency in clinical judgment
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and regulations
- Respond to on-call requirements as needed and participate in continuing education to stay current with best practices
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Proficiency in moderate sedation procedures
- Experience in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Catherization, or related specialties preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior work in radiology or special procedures nursing roles
- Knowledge of critical care or step-down unit protocols
- Excellent communication and conflict management skills
