Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts (3x12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), including every other weekend and holidays as needed. All travelers are expected to float between facilities if required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric nursing care to patients across adolescent, adult, and pediatric populations with diagnoses including depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance abuse, and other mental health conditions.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses according to physician orders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Conduct patient assessments, document findings, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
• Participate in shift-specific patient management, including emergency interventions when necessary.
• Adhere to all safety, compliance, and documentation standards, including EKG and required certifications.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• STARR certification required.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Ability to pass and complete a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance.
• Experience with adolescent, adult, and pediatric patient populations preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge nurse experience.
• Familiarity with psychiatric medication management.
• Ability to handle complex patient diagnoses, including bipolar, schizophrenia, and substance abuse.
• Flexibility to float across multiple facilities as needed.
