Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shifts (3x12-hour shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality nursing care for labor, delivery, and postpartum patients in a busy Level I Trauma center.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, perform sterile speculum exams, and conduct fetal monitoring including external and internal fetal monitoring.
• Administer medications such as antihypertensives, Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, and prostaglandins.
• Manage neonatal care, including APGAR scoring, newborn assessments, and discharge teaching for parents.
• Support postpartum patients with wound care, breastfeeding assistance, and recovery management.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.

Required Qualifications
• Active Illinois RN license or in the application process with ETA.
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and support floating within scope, including to pediatric units if needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with Cerner charting system and community hospital environments.
• Knowledge of obstetrical procedures such as NST, OCT, and sterile vaginal exams.
• Experience managing high-risk pregnancies and neonatal procedures.
