Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, travel assignment, days shift, 13-week duration

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients in a busy, high-volume trauma and stroke center.
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and implement emergency treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
• Document patient information accurately using electronic health records.
• Engage with diverse patient populations, demonstrating respectful and compassionate communication.
• Adapt to various department areas as needed, maintaining flexibility and a teamwork-oriented approach.

Required Qualifications
• Active RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered nurse, with at least 1 year in an emergency department setting.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC (within 90 days of hire).
• Experience working in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with strong teamwork and feedback skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous experience in a hospital with over 100,000 annual visits.
• Experience with team coaching and real-time feedback.
• Familiarity with electronic documentation systems such as Cerner.
• Previous healthcare experience in similar high-acuity settings.
