Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a busy Emergency Department for a diverse patient population.
• Administer treatments and medications following hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient status using GE monitors and Baxter pumps, ensuring prompt intervention when necessary.
• Document patient information accurately using Cerner system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including techs, unit clerks, and other nurses.
• Maintain patient experience standards through respectful communication and adherence to hospital policies.

Required Qualifications

• Active ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS certifications before start date.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse, with at least 1 year in an ER setting.
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or high-volume ED preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours and float within ED departments.
• Strong teamwork and coaching skills.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina or state of residence.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a comprehensive stroke or trauma center with over 100,000 annual visits.
• Experience with HCA facilities preferred.
• Bilingual candidates representing Asheville’s multicultural community are highly valued.
