• Full-time, overnight shift (Nights), 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week, travel assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a cardiac progressive care unit.
• Monitor and manage patients using advanced equipment such as telemetry, ventilators, suction devices, and infusion pumps.
• Assist with procedures including chest tube placement/removal, pacer wire management, and 12-lead EKGs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation using the Meditech EMR system.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• ACLS certification.
• Experience with cardiac drips such as heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, and other infusion medications.
• Prior experience in a PCU or stepdown unit.
• Ability to perform procedures like chest tube management and pacer wire removal.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac experience, including recognition and management of cardiac arrhythmias.
• Skills in performing 12-lead EKGs and managing advanced cardiac equipment.
• Strong team-player with high energy and adaptability to a high-acuity environment.
