Key Responsibilities
- Perform adult acute care, outpatient, ER/Trauma MRI exams, including abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, musculoskeletal, and spine imaging.
- Operate GE and Phillips MRI equipment, including specialized procedures such as angiograms, MRV, MRCP, and post-processing techniques.
- Prepare and administer contrast media, initiate peripheral IVs, and follow isolation precautions.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during MRI procedures, including anesthesia cases.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication within hospital systems.
- Support general MRI exams and specialized imaging as needed, with adherence to safety and procedural protocols.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT MR certification or ARRT R certification.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience, including travel experience.
- NC or Compact state license in radiologic technology with MRI specialization.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in adult ICU, pediatric acute care/outpatient settings, or with chest and specialized spine imaging.
- Knowledge of GE and Phillips MRI equipment, including advanced imaging procedures.
- Familiarity with hospital systems such as EPIC and SBAR communication protocols.
- Comfortable floating within hospital units or to affiliate facilities as needed.
