- Full-time, travel, nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for medical-surgical patients on a 29-bed unit with potential to overflow
- Monitor patients using remote telemetry equipment and record data accurately in MediTech EMR
- Administer post-op surgical care, cardiac drugs, and IV drips such as amio, dilt, and heparin
- Collaborate with an experienced team of RNs and technicians to ensure patient safety and quality care
- Maintain patient ratios of 5:1 and adhere to unit policies and safety protocols
- Support unit operations during night shifts, including patient assessments and documentation
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado or appropriate licensing for travel nurses
- Ability to read telemetry strips and monitor cardiac patients
- Experience in medical-surgical nursing, preferably with post-op and cardiac care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bilingual abilities (preferred but not required)
- ACLS certification
- Experience working in busy, high-energy units with new technology and equipment
