• Full-time, day shift (4x12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and manage cytotoxic spills, ensuring patient safety.
• Monitor and assess patients receiving chemotherapy, including recognition of abnormal lab values.
• Perform IV Therapy procedures such as port access, PICC line care, and starting IVs.
• Manage and dispose of biohazardous materials following safety protocols.
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner charting system.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality oncological care.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois nursing license (or in application process).
• Minimum 18 months of RN experience, preferably in acute care or oncology units.
• Certifications in chemotherapy administration and IV therapy (AHA or Red Cross approved).
• Ability to work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays.
• Must be able to float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Must have SSN and DOB available at submission.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a Level I trauma, Magnet, or teaching hospital.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system.
• Strong understanding of oncology treatment protocols and emergency procedures.
