Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, night shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the cardiac or cardiovascular stepdown unit
- Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in vital signs and symptoms
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Nursing license in the state of Tennessee or a compact license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a cardiac or stepdown unit
- Ability to work night shifts and adhere to assigned schedules
- Experience with team nursing models
- Willingness to work on-call as needed
- Strict adherence to travel and compliance guidelines
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system
- Past travel nursing experience preferred
- Knowledge of cardiac or cardiovascular patient care protocols
