• Travel, Nights shifts, 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in a Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting.
• Monitor telemetry and perform procedures such as wound care, drain management, Foley insertions, and central line dressing changes.
• Document care using Meditech Expanse system.
• Collaborate with team members including unit secretaries and LNAs to ensure quality patient care.
• Engage in patient safety initiatives like hourly safety rounding and bedside shift reports.
• Float to same level of care as needed, adhering to hospital policies and unit-specific guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' hospital-based Med-Surg nursing experience.
• Valid and active Compact License at submission.
• BLS certification required.
• IV Certification required.
• Strong procedural skills including IV insertion, wound care, and telemetry monitoring.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CBI, chest tubes, Jackson-Pratt drains, and other drain management procedures.
• Ability to work night shifts and float as needed.
• Knowledge of Meditech Expanse documentation system.
