- Full-time, dayshift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and monitor residents according to facility protocols
- Provide care to patients in a long-term care setting, including feeding, repositioning, and toileting as permitted under GNA license
- Recognize and respond to residents' individual needs, routines, and preferences
- Participate in facility orientation and adhere to strict attendance policies, including attending all scheduled shifts and orientation days
- Float within various units of the facility, including specialized households such as those with residents suffering from dementia or cognitive impairments
Required Qualifications
- Valid Maryland GNA license or Maryland Certified Medicine Aide (CMA) certification
- At least 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting (2 years for HICU experience)
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and attend all scheduled orientation days
- References required, including verification of certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working with residents with dementia or cognitive impairments
- Familiarity with long-term care facility routines and protocols
- Ability to comply with strict attendance and punctuality policies
