Respiratory Therapist - NICU

Travel, 13-week assignment, days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, including conditions such as asthma, pneumonia, and emphysema
• Work with advanced respiratory equipment such as high-frequency ventilators (JET) and oscillators in a NICU setting
• Collaborate with a close-knit team of healthcare professionals and physicians to deliver critical patient care
• Floats to adult units as needed, demonstrating flexibility across specialties
• Maintain accurate documentation and utilize electronic medical records (Meditech) for patient care management

Required Qualifications

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (NRP for NICU must be completed)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience
• Ability to work with high-frequency ventilators (JET) and oscillators in a NICU environment
• Must be willing to float to adult units as needed
• Must have prior experience with Meditech EMR system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP certification (strongly preferred)
• Experience with stroke patient care and emergency procedures
• Prior participation in hospital quality improvement initiatives or awards recognition
• Active team player with strong critical thinking skills and patient-focused approach
